Shambhala Day Address Online; Shambhala Times Welcomes in New Year; Offerings Online

The Sakyong’s Shambhala Day address for the Year of the Ox and remarks by the Sakyong Wangmo and President Reoch are now online.

Shambhala Times, our new online Shambhala Community News Magazine, goes live today to welcome everyone to new year.

The first edition highlights the largest survey of the Shambhala community ever conducted. Launched last Shambhala Day, the survey went to one out of every four members and produced such a huge response that it has taken the survey team a year to process the hundreds of replies.

The survey aimed to tackle three key questions: How can we create a deeper sense of community? How can we nurture greater harmony in the sangha and work more effectively with conflict? How can we improve communication at all levels of the mandala?

Shambhala Day is also the special day in the year when we make offerings to support the centre of our mandala. Everyone’s donations sustain the work of the Sakyong and Sakyong Wangmo, as well as the central Mandala Services that underpin the efforts of Shambhala members, groups and centres everywhere.
