Local Shastri Greets the Sakyong and Family

Local Shastri, Carolyn Krusinski, attended the Boulder Shambhala Community welcoming and celebration for the Sakyong, Sakyong Wangmo and Jetsun Drukmo.

Carolyn writes: “I offered my khata to the family with Jetsun Drukmo regally and playfully sitting between them. I told them it was with love from all of the Boston sangha. I was invited to enter with the Acharyas and 5 other Shastris whom it was wonderful to see from this summer. There were pink and white balloons everywhere and the white ones had a LOVE calligraphy and signature by the Sakyong. We offered champagne toasts and had cupcakes on the lawn of Marpa House. A children’s chorus sang for Jetsun Drukmo. The family including Lady Khonchok and the Sakyong Wangmo’s mother were there as the Maha (Great) Grandmothers. About 300 people of all ages attended. When the Sakyong Wangmo handed the baby to the Sakyong when they first entered the balcony a huge cheer went up!”
