Jetsun Drukmo Turns Six Months Old

The Sakyong Wangmo celebrates a half-year of life for our princess by sharing a message and photos.

Dear Shambhalians,

How time flies!

Jetsun Drukmo turns six months old today. The last six months have been very joyful. Each day I see her doing new things and am amazed. It makes me think of all the kind mothers who have brought up children this way.

She is now learning to sit upright and tries to support herself so that she can stand up and also tries to bite anything that she sees.

I am so excited for the Sakyong to see her and am waiting anxiously for his return, as I am sure you all are. This year’s Shambhala Day is quite special because this will be Jetsun Drukmo’s first.

I would like to send my best wishes to all of you, and especially to all the new mothers who are enjoying the joys and challenges of motherhood.

Dear Sakyong Wangmo, thank you very much for sharing these fotos and the message. I am especially moved by the pictures of the three generations. They show this power of motherhood and life continuing. I am becoming grandmother myself very soon (we are expecting our new familymember daily) which is wonderful for me. I feel deeply connected to you and your family and send you all my love. Sabine Putze
