The reality is that we can’t handle our anger, we can’t develop our patience and we can’t cultivate our wisdom without working with others.
~ Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
During the weekend of 14-15 January, the President of Shambhala, Richard Reoch, led the sangha in London in studying unique leadership instructions given to Shambhala by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. These teachings are known as the Six Ways of Ruling and apply to all aspects of our lives, including the Shambhala vision of establishing a society based on wisdom and compassion. Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche opened up these previously secret instructions in his book, Ruling Your World.
During the weekend with President Reoch, we explored these teachings together to bring the practice of gentle, powerful and fearless leadership into our community and our lives, by studying The Six Ways of Ruling: A Resource for Leaders, compiled by the Governance as Path Working Group.
