Shambhala News ServiceShambhala Online’s New Director
We are delighted to announce Ms Dixie Griffin Good as the new Director of Shambhala Online, succeeding Ms Heather Scott.
Ms Good has a background in 21st century learning in the K-12 education environment and an M.S. in Future Studies. She lives in Denver and consults with education organizations on technology use, authors an annual report to the legislature on Colorado Online Learning and has produced videos for the Council on 21st Century Learning. She loves exploring new ways of connecting and communicating.
Ms Good, now a member of the Kalapa Executive, would like to engage everyone within and outside Shambhala to take part in Shambhala Online programs, and to help shape the medium. She asks:
“What would you like to see and do via Shambhala Online? Please email me: [email protected], post on our FaceBook page or tweet your ideas using #ShambhalaLearns.”
Please join us in welcoming Dixie to her position and join us in our deep appreciation of Heather Scott for her ground-breaking work as Director. As President Reoch writes:
“I think we all feel that Heather brought a special quality to the lift-off of Shambhala Online. She has been instrumental in helping guide it to the magnificent place it is today. Her warmth, her spirit, her skill, her energy and her graciousness have created a wonderful atmosphere of being welcomed, hosted and supported.
Heather, we all wish you well in this next phase of your life’s journey and we all lying in wait, ready to pounce when you are free again to shine your kindly light on Shambhala!”

So wonderful to have Dixie aboard. As Head Moderator for Shambhala Online, I couldn’t be happier with the selection.
