Shambhala Programs 2014

The Shambhala Office of Practice and Education is pleased to announce the international Shambhala program calendar for the year 2014.

Application Process

The following programs in 2014 require that you apply and be accepted through the Office of Practice and Education in Halifax, Nova Scotia:

Enlightened Society Assembly

Warrior Assembly

Sacred World Assembly

Rigden Abhisheka

Scorpion Seal Assembly One

Given the number of applications we receive, it can take up to two months for them to be processed.  In some cases, a program may reach capacity, so please apply as early as possible.   Attending a program is a two-step process, which includes first applying (and being accepted) and then registering.  Once you receive your letter of acceptance from the Office of Practice and Education, you may then register directly with the respective Land Center.  ***Please read the note about registering for Sacred World Assembly at the end of this document.

2014 Shambhala International Core Path Programs

Enlightened Society Assembly

Dorje Denma Ling:  May 31 – June 15

Shambhala Mountain Center:  July 26 – August 10

Karme Choling:  August 16 – 31

Dechen Choling:  September 6 – 21

Warrior Assembly

Scorpion Seal Assemblies

Year I:  

Dorje Denma Ling:  July 30 – August 10

Year II:

Dechen Choling:  July 2 – 13

Note:  there will be a Scorpion Seal Assembly Year II scheduled at Shambhala Mountain Center in 2014.  Details will be forthcoming.

Year III:

Dorje Denma Ling:  July 12 – 23

Years IV and V:

Karme Choling:

SSA IV, May 22 – June 2

SSA V, May 22 – June 2

Year VI:

Shambhala Mountain Center:  dates are to be determined.

Dorje Denma Ling:  July 30 – August 10

Dechen Choling:  August 23 – September 3

Staffing Opportunities

Creating the Cradle of Loving Kindness

We deeply appreciate your interest in staffing!  The success of these programs depends greatly on the volunteer efforts of the program staff, who create, maintain and dissolve the containers within which participants are so beautifully held.  This provides a rich opportunity for one to study, practice and serve the community.  Please fill in a staff application at the program of interest below.  Note:  in order to staff your program of choice, you must have already completed that program as a participant.
