The Sakyong made a strong connection with the Shambhala community of Copiapo, Chile during the Chilean Garchen in February. They were in the front-lines when a storm caused devastating mudslides leaving tens of thousands of people without power or drinking water last year. To read more please visit this site.
After the Garchen, the Sakyong visited Valparaiso, then gave a public talk to an overflow crowd in Santiago, and the following day addressed a gathering of over 300 with the local Shambhala community. Read more and see videos of the Sakyong’s talks in Chile here.
