Sakyong’s Enthronement at Rinchen Terdzo

The Rinchen Terdzo concluded this week with the enthronement of the Sakyong as a lineage holder of the transmission of this “precious treasury of terma,” the literal meaning of the Richen Terdzo. During the final event, the Sakyong and Sakyong Wangmo made formal offerings to His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rinpoche from themselves as the major sponsors of the event and also from the Shambhala community.

The Rinchen Terdzo empowerments have been auspiciously bestowed by His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rinpoche at Thupden Mindrolling Monastery Monastery in Orissa, India over the past three months. The primary recipient of the Rinchen Terdzo was Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. Also in attendance were the Sakyong Wangmo, members of the Ripa family, and participants drawn from the Shambhala Community, Ripa linage and Tibetan community of Chandragiri in Orissa, India.
