Arts and PoetryHopeless – a solo performance on Nowness and Letting Go
For two weekends only! Come see the award winning one-woman show inspired by the writings of Pema Chodron.
‘Hopeless’
An uplifting collection of stories, music and musings on the nature of hope, fear and finding joy, “Hopeless,” performed by Portland Sangha member Melanya Helene, is a one-woman celebration of exhaustion, uncertainty and the art of giving up hope.
Melanya’s performance style, based in mindfulness and somatic attunement, is an engaging combination of dynamic movement, soulful singing and moments of profound stillness.
See it Now, before it’s gone (Melanya is taking a sabbatical from this show to develop new works). Watch ‘The Samurai Story’ excerpt.
