Mandala ProjectsCrazy Wisdom

Calligraphy by Alexandra Shenpen, available in the Art Auction currently on the Konchok Foundation website
Poem by Lama Ugyen
Yogin of crazy
Who wandered at Taktsang Cave
You discovered Mahamudra
Your students are practicing with it
May we attain some fruition.
Nobody knows if we will attain fruition or not
It depends on individuals.
I cannot promise
I hope you do
This is the Vidyadhara Trungpa Rinpoche’s vision
If everybody follows it
There will be benefit in this life and the next.
This may not be a good poem,
but it’s the truth.
This is my thought.

Hand calligraphed and crafted “feast favors” to share amongst dharma friends. Each “feast favor” is two sided with seed syllables on one side and a hand written line from a poem of Lama Ugyen Shenpen’s on the other. Visit the Konchok Foundation website to learn more.
Always Here With Us
Lama Ugyen had a unique connection with my family, and also understood and helped create our mandala. He did this totally selflessly, never wanting praise or high position. Although he stayed in the background, he was always here with us. If we ever became too trippy or religious, he was here with his humor. If we became frivolous, he was here with his sternness. In some ways, like the Vidyadhara, he left behind the security of his Tibetan heritage. He never had any agenda other than simply being here, helping establish and propagate the dharma in the West.
