Prayer for the Swift Rebirth of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche
His Holiness the Dalai Lama has written a short prayer for the swift rebirth of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. This was recited at the Golden Temple of Namdroling during the rituals on the 49th day after His Holiness entered samadhi. I have recorded an English version of the prayer to accompany images from the ceremonies and the evening circumambulation of the Lotus Radiance Palace where his kudung (precious body) has been placed — the night air permeated by a recording of His Holiness’ chanting the mantras of the vajrayana.
