Football, Yoga & Meditation Retreat

During the first week of the upcoming world championships football (soccer), the Buddhist Youth Project is organizing a brand-new program called the Football, Yoga & Meditation Retreat. The program – which will take place from the 13 to 19th of June at Hotel Schloss Heinsheim in Germany – will include Yoga, running, walks in the beautiful nature of the region and playing football of course.

The mornings will be reserved for meditation and teachings, and in the evenings there is the option to watch the matches on a big screen in Heinz, the Schloss Heinsheim pub. Participants can choose for either yoga or playing football in the afternoon. The retreat will offer an introduction to Buddhism and meditation for newcomers as well. The program is meant for people in their teens, twenties or thirties.

The price of the retreat will be 240 Euros for a stay in a normal two-person room of the four star hotel and includes three simple meals a day. If you would like to reserve one of the big and luxury castle rooms the costs will be 420 Euros. For people who wish to have a room all by themselves the price is 660 Euros. If people face difficulties coming because of the price please contact the coordinators [email protected] or [email protected] for a possible scholarship. Many thanks to Schloss Heinsheim for sponsoring the program with significantly discounted hotel rates.

For registration and more information please go to www.buddhistyouthproject.org. There you can also find information about the other retreats organized by the Buddhist Youth Project such as the BYP Summer Retreat (formerly known as the Youth Leadership Programme) that takes place in July and the highly successful Buddhist Youth Festival.

The Buddhist Youth Project was founded and is being directed by Sophie Maclaren and Susanne Becker. If you feel like supporting the Buddhist Youth Project please contact [email protected].
