Farewell to Jim Wagner
An Excerpt from the Shambhala Touching the Earth Collective July/August 2024 Newsletter
So long, farewell… For the last two years, The Shambhala Touching the Earth Collective has had Jim Wagner shepherding our newsletters and website. He accepted a position that has been largely hidden from the sangha. Over these past years, Gregory Webster and I (Irene) have had friendly monthly meetings with Jim. He has always been smiling and accommodating. He leaves us now, for the excellent reason that he is beginning the three-year retreat at Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. We wish him well. And we want to thank him for always meeting our needs and questions. And as someone who is not comfortable with the ins and outs of operating systems, he made my life easy, and we had such a good time.
Thanks, Jim. We love you and we are happy you are able to move to Nova Scotia for this next ride. And, just so our readers know, Jim has prepared us well for his departure in training Seth Levinson to take over where he leaves off. We are thrilled that Seth has agreed to step into this position. The baton has been passed, with noble ease… Thank you Jim, and thank you, Seth.
