San Francisco Shambhala Seeks Program Director

This just in: The San Francisco Shambhala Center seeks Program Director for half-time position.

The San Francisco Shambhala center is seeking to fill a half-time Programs Director position by mid-September of 2011. The Programs Director manages the Programs Department and reports to the Center Director. He or she is responsible for both the planning and the implementation of most programs at the center in collaboration with the Center Director and Program Planning Committee, with input from heads of departments such as Practice & Education, the Arts, and Societal Health & Well-Being.

Responsibilities include assisting with program planning and scheduling, calendar management, program implementation and support as well as program communications and marketing. We are looking for a Shambhala Buddhist practitioner with a minimum of two years experience in the Sangha, strong experience in organization and administration and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
