No…this is not Mexico. The Great Stupa of Dharmakaya, Winter 2008-09.
Over the winter holidays of 2008-09, Berkeley Shambhala Center member Charlene Leung traveled with her family to Mexico. Here are a few of her photographs.
Note: to see the whole photograph, click on these thumbnails.
Charlene has this to say about her photography practice and herself… I bought my first single-lens reflex camera – the old-style camera that required focusing and adjusting the lens – in Hong Kong, on my way to the People’s Republic of China in 1979. Taking photos has always been a way of being on the spot, looking, seeing beyond concept. Noticing shapes, textures, expression, panning, then leaping with a click.
Charlene Leung has been a student of the Vidyadhara Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche since 1983 and is currently a student of the Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. She is the Co-Warrior of Berkeley Shambhala Center and a practitioner of Chinese medicine. She is a wife and mother of two grown sons.
