Shambhalians the world over gather to celebrate Harvest of Peace
This weekend, we come together once again at the turning of the season, to connect with one another and to gather our energies after a summer of practice and activity. In this time of turbulence, conflict, and rapid change for the planet we call home, this annual fall gathering provides a much-needed moment of reflection: deepening, tenderness, and connection. We come together to enjoy one another’s company, share the gifts of the season, celebrate a sense of community, and deeply feel the strong foundation we share in our commitment to basic goodness. These celebrations strengthen our commitment to expressing that basic goodness through our own courage and vulnerability — in our homes, in our centers, and in the wider world.
From everyone here at the Shambhala Times, we send you our warmest wishes for a wonderful Harvest of Peace. May this celebration bring you joy, togetherness, and strength for the time ahead.
As you gather with others this weekend, please think of sharing the delights of your harvest time as an inspiration to the wider community — take photos, record the sights and sounds, write an essay, song, play or poem, and send these fruits of your celebration to the Shambhala Times. Let us hear from you! [email protected]
