Arts and PoetryWindhorse in Paint
Here are four photos of my last paintings. The exhibit is called CHEVAL DU VENT (Windhorse) and I have 21 of “my horses” for that exhibit. With this exhibit, I present the principle of windhorse in a very simple way and give a short explanation of its origin: The principle of basic goodness from the teachings of Shambhala. I received a grant from the “Centre d’action culturelle de la MRC de Papineau” (province of Québec) to do that solo exhibit of 21 paintings accompanied with poetic texts in a very spacious gallery for a whole month. Many paintings are big format (between 48″X 72″, one of them is 84″X 108″) to show the power of the horse and the movement of the wind, or water or other elements like fire or space. I use acrylic, ink, oil sticks and other material to give more texture on paper or on canvas.
Click on a photo to view the paintings at a larger scale.
- THE GIANT “Le colosse” acrylic on paper (45″X76″)
- THE STORM “La tempête d’Émilie” acrylic on paper (35″X45″)
- THE FOREST “Dans la forêt” mixed media on canvas (36″X36″)
- WINDHORSE “Cheval du vent” mixed media on canvas (84″X108″)
