Arts and PoetryThe Play Itself to See
A theatrical featurette of the play Norbu and the Mystery of the Missing Ratna
by Walker Blaine
As noted in the earlier article “Interview with a Shambhala Playwright,” this play was performed in Halifax as part of the Harvest of Peace celebration. Shambhala centers had the option of including a video preview of the play, and that video is now being made available to all of our readers for their viewing enjoyment.
Cast members include John Odenthal, Walker Blaine, Anna Weinstein, Julia Sable, Tim Walker, David Brown, and Brin Jones. For anyone interested in reading it in addition to seeing the featurette, the script will soon be made available for sale, as well as a production version for centers wishing to put on a live production of the play. For now, you can click here to see the video.

I very much enjoyed the “live” excerpt I was privileged to see at KCL last summer AND this video featurette. Every one of the players were excellent, and the crows especially! I encourage everyone to see it AND call for many reruns. Bravo!
