Announcing the launch of a new journal devoted to shifting the conversation about issues facing our world from aggression and destruction toward social wakefulness and compassion.

The Arrow is a new scholarly quarterly exploring the application of Shambhala philosophy and contemplative practice to social systems and offering fresh strategies to help foster a more civilized political and economic culture. The Arrow hopes to explore intersections of social justice, revolutionary ideas, and contemplative practice. Our first issue includes articles by Acharya Adam Lobel, Shastri Holly Gayley and President of Shambhala Richard Reoch, offering glimpses of sanity in our increasingly speedy and materialistic world.

  1. Wanted to forward “The Arrow” to several friends I thought would be interested via e-mail–I don’t use social media–to find I can’t do it via Yahoo Mail, the e-mail I use, and was subjected to getting muscled into using GMail in order to do it. What does that portend?
