The Sakyong, Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche concluded a one-week Gesar of Ling activity-ritual in Boulder, Colorado this Wednesday. His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rinpoche requested the Sakyong to perform this ceremony to increase the growth and prosperity of the Sakyong’s spiritual and secular activity. This practice intensive comes at a time of unprecedented projects, challenges, and expansion in Shambhala. The retreat focused on gathering strength and richness into the Kalapa Court, regional centers, households, businesses, and other endeavors throughout the worldwide Shambhala mandala.

The activity-ritual was performed at the Kalapa Court by the Sakyong, assisted by Lama Pema Gyaltsen and Lama Gyurme Dorje. Lady Konchok Palden attended the retreat throughout the week; regional acharyas and leaders in the community practiced in the shrine room as invited guests over the weekend and at the concluding feast. The Sakyong’s intensive practice precedes the start of a four-day conference with the main leaders of the community that starts today. Announcements of the upcoming year’s vision and projects will follow soon after the meetings.

The atmosphere during the retreat was rich with the feeling of deep practice. On the final day, the Sakyong invited individuals working with health issues to attend two rituals, which were conducted for healing and well-being. A concluding ceremony was then performed to share the blessings and accomplishment of the practice with the entire community. The Sakyong dedicated the benefit of this practice to those affected by hurricane Sandy, which occurred during the retreat.

May the golden rays of the Great Eastern Sun be felt throughout the whole world!

Possible site improvement: The front page should not show the photo’s caption in its summary. This article’s summary on the front page states “photo is property of the Kalapa Court” which is of little interest to most people.
