VCTR TributesGreat Eastern Sun: The Shambhala Community in Nova Scotia
To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Parinirvana (death) of Chogyam Trungpa, the Legacy Project — together with the Halifax Shambhala Centre and the Shambhala Archives — created an exhibit at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. The exhibit is part of the Community Presents program of the museum, which allows local communities to celebrate and showcase their unique contributions to Canadian culture and heritage. The title of our exhibit is Great Eastern Sun: The Shambhala Community in Nova Scotia. It runs from February 8 through April 21, 2012. In addition to the exhibit itself, several other events are connected to the exhibit, and information about them will be posted soon.
