Update on the Fire at SMC

Shambhala Mountain Center has created a page of ongoing updates regarding the Cameron Peak Fire on their website. We have printed here their most recent update, from October 3rd.

More information (and many more photographs) can be found here.

One photo from the Shambhala Mountain Center update

Dear Friends,

A small group of SMC staff was able to make a trip up to the land yesterday (Friday 10/2), and we’ve posted some new photos below.

Additionally, we held a Town Hall meeting this morning, in which Michael Gayner offered a report from the trip up to the land and responded to many questions from the broader SMC community. A recording of that meeting can be viewed here:

Ongoing thanks for being a part of this journey, and please continue to share any questions you may have by emailing us at [email protected].

We’ll be in touch again soon.

Warmly,

The Shambhala Mountain Center Team
